The direct route
Previously, if you needed a barrister you would have to engage a solicitor first, thereby paying for two lawyers rather than just one. The Legal Services Regulation Act now permits you to go directly to a barrister for certain matters.
By going straight to a specialist barrister, this service offers clients a smarter, faster, and more transparent way to get expert legal advice. It saves time, reduces cost, and offers clarity from the very beginning of a dispute.

Why Barristers Direct
Barristers Direct is a network of Senior Counsel and Junior Counsel barristers practising in Dublin and all across Ireland.
01
Based on your legal query, we will arrange a consultation with a barrister who specialises in that area of law, getting you expert advice saving you both time and money.
02
For a fixed fee, one of our barristers will meet with you and provide you with expert advice and how best to proceed. Your barrister will not charge any further fee in respect of this initial consultation.
03
Where a case requires legal action, it remains necessary to engage a solicitor, and clients will be so advised and can be referred if required. However, in many instances, disputes can be resolved prior to legal proceedings being issued, ensuring faster outcomes and significant savings.
